Snapes Long Cape

This is 30 foot cape that I wore while Cosplaying Snape at MISTI-Con. This started as a bit of a joke but ended up looking really cool. After the Giant Voldemort showed up on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, I called up my friend and told her how I was going to make one for the convention. I also joked with her about how much I had always wanted to do something similar to what Bjork had done where her dress coved the stadium. I told her that at the end of the convention, for the Masked Ball, I would kick over the Giant Voldemort which was made from roughly 20 yards of fabric and wear him as a really long Snape Cape. Of course that was a bit too complicated so I just ordered another 20 yards of fabric and made the cape on separately.
I first tried it out in the hotel hall. We were all laughing so much as I ran down the hall - it was like a river of black! It worked better than I ever dreamed it would!!! I only wore it for the first fifteen minutes of the ball since one can not really dance in such a thing - but it was so fun to run around in.
